ARMED SERVICES COMMITTEE
| Mission:Act as a liaison between the military and private sector, while facilitating how to conduct business on military bases, promote regional job opportunities, nature a bilateral relationship with the North County Military community, and to assist in the support of the military community by identifying and providing needed services. |

The ASC works to promote, enhance and strengthen the relationships between our community and the military. The ASC meets at the Chamber the 4th Friday of each month at 7:30 AM. The Armed Services Committee will host it's 4th Annual Patriotic Rally: BBQ and Car Show for 4,000 School of Infantry (SOI) students at Camp Pendleton 0n September 14,2008. SOI (West) is a training division of the Marine Corps located at Camp Pendleton, were young men in the USMC go to learn advanced infantry training skills. Due to SOI's intense 9 week training course, these Marines are NOT afforded liberty, in other words, they cannot leave the base. A large percentage of these Marines will be deployed into hostile environments such as Iraq upon graduation.
